Back by popular demand, from Monday 14th to Friday 18th of September, step back into Regency splendour for a truly elegant morning as part of the Jane Austen Festival. Join us in the historic Pump Room for Breakfast with Beau Nash – a refined affair inspired by the famed Master of Ceremonies himself.

Doors will open from 9.15am, for you to begin your morning with a chilled glass of English Sparkling Wine or Bucks Fizz, alongside freshly brewed organic coffee or English Breakfast tea. The sounds of our resident pianist will fill the room as you partake of delicious baked breads and delicate breakfast pastries. Then indulge in a sumptuous traditional English breakfast, including char-grilled Wiltshire bacon, local Bath sausages and free-range scrambled eggs.

Soak up the atmosphere as the Pump Room comes to life in true Georgian style – just as Jane Austen might have experienced it. Regency costumes are warmly encouraged (though not required), offering a delightful opportunity to see and be seen in your Regency best. The event serves as the perfect moment to regroup following one of the Jane Austen Festival’s famous balls – recount your favourite waltzes and exchange whispers of the evening’s most titillating encounters.

Booking Information

Online booking is available for 6 guests or fewer. For bookings of 7 or more (up to a maximum of 10), please call 01225 444477 or email pumproom@searcys.co.uk.

Guests will be seated in sharer fashion, with other parties seated on the same table. We will not be able to accommodate requests to move seats on the day. If you would like to sit near or with another party, please contact us in person to discuss before the event, and we will do our best to accommodate, dependent on availability.

Any requests made via the booking portal will not be guaranteed.

Tickets for this event are sold as non-refundable; we are happy to accept name substitutions – please contact us to discuss.

Dietary Requirements

We are happy to cater for the majority of dietary requirements, with advance notice. Please ensure all dietary requirements are stated at the point of booking, in advance of your visit.
While we take allergens very seriously, all dishes are served on a “may contain” basis and we are unable to offer a completely allergen-free environment.
