Jane Austen, and her characters, always found that one “should be very glad of a little tea” (Mansfield Park, 1814). Enjoy our timeless tribute to one of England’s most beloved novelists, as you soak in the historic surroundings of The Pump Room, frequented by Austen herself and immortalised in her works Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.

Delight in delicate finger sandwiches and tempting savoury bites. Enjoy our freshly-baked scones, served, of course, with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Finish your afternoon with sweet treats, including a slice of Jane’s carrot cake and our banoffee choux bun.

A spectacular panto take on the timeless tale

This Christmas, Bath will sparkle a little brighter; packed with breathtaking sets, dazzling costumes, sensational choreography and plenty of festive magic, this glittering production brings the timeless tale to life in a truly unforgettable way.

The show stars Marc Baylis (Coronation Street) as the wickedly mischievous villain Hugo Pompidou, alongside Bath favourite and award-winning writer Jon Monie, who also returns to the stage as the hilarious Louis La Plonk. He is joined by Nick Wilton as Dame Polly La Plonk, with West End performers Amelia Adams (Jersey Boys, Hairspray) as Belle, Shani Cantor (Oklahoma!, Kiss Me, Kate) as Fairy Bon Bon, and Andrew Gallo (Mamma Mia!) as The Prince and The Beast.

With show-stopping musical numbers, jaw-dropping special effects and a stellar cast, Beauty and the Beast is the perfect festive treat for audiences of all ages.
